The Psych Clinic

The Psych Clinic is a new service providing face to face psychological, counselling and assessment services to the Clarence Valley, and via Telehealth to rural, regional, and remote Australians.

Psychological assistance has never been more accessible to those living outside the city than it is right now. As we learn to adapt to the ever changing world we live in, improvement in technologies and changes in legislation, means that now Australians living outside of metropolitan areas have increased choice and affordability when taking the first step toward maintaining and improving their mental health.

The fast pace of daily life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, and we often don’t take the time we need to take care of ourselves. Our goal is to help you understand how your mind, behaviours, and emotions interact while providing you with personalized strategies designed to improve your ability to more effectively navigate life’s ups and downs. Our team looks forward to supporting you with the difficulties and challenges that you might be negotiating in this moment. Whether you need support to manage difficult emotions, relationship conflicts or sudden changes that have arisen in your life then we are available for you.

A lifetime of living and working in regional, rural, and remote areas gives Quentin a firm understanding of the difficulties of life outside the city. Having worked extensively in both the agriculture and the resource sectors, Quentin gets what is involved with living on, and making a living from, the land.  This, coupled with his experience working with some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in our society, leaves Quentin especially placed to provide empathic and professional psychological services to rural Australians.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Psych Clinic is not a crisis service and is not available 24/7.  Should you require immediate or emergency assistance, please call police/ambulance on 000 or present at your nearest hospital emergency.
